Why Lamberts love Draper Tools

As an industrial supplier, we distribute a whole range of materials – from piping that is metres long, to tiny screws. One of our product lines that perfectly complements most of the products we sell is our vast tooling range – both hand and power tools – to tighten the pipe and fasten the screws that our customers come to us for.

We meet plenty of tradespeople and contractors who come through the doors of our Whiffler Road HQ, visiting our trade counter looking for supplies for their day-to-day business.

To allow us to distribute the highest quality stock, our team sources tooling items from professional lines and Draper Tools is one of those fantastic suppliers. Draper supplies quality trade, professional and DIY tools and is a well-established, independent family business with over a century of success to its name.

Keeping it in the family with a long history of professional tool supply

Draper Tools was founded back in 1919 when Bert Draper started the company with his wife Emily and sold government surplus and tools in markets around Kingston Upon Thames.

In the sixties, Bert’s son Norman took over the business and as the years passed – just like Lamberts – the company has remained in family hands ever since, now being headed up by fourth-generation family members Tom and Joe Draper (Bert’s great-grandsons), alongside their father John Draper.

The business has gone from strength to strength, even throughout the testing times such as the global pandemic.
